Description:
Shadow Area belongs to a whole series of works in ink and ink eraser and so it refers to a continuous development of the artist. Shadow Area has been applied directly onto the wall and combined with a slide-projection. This way the work is formed out of various layers, which are constructed, removed and recombined by the artist.
The jury is fascinated by the mysterious construction and disappearance of the working process.
Our perception of the work is changing according to our position in front of the wall. The beholder’s shadow is adding another layer and this way Shadow Area receives a subtle interactive moment. The playful, dreamful, magical and lyrical qualities of this work is both impressing and seductive.

« Die eingereichte Arbeit Shadow Area gehört zu einer Serie von Arbeiten mit Tinte und Tintenkiller und macht die kontinuierliche Entwicklung der Künstlerin deutlich. Shadow Aera ist direkt auf die Wand gezeichnet und wird von einer Dia-projeketion überlagert. So entsteht ein Werk aus vielen Schichten, die Manon Bellet aufbaut, entfernt und wieder zusammenfügt. Die Jury interessiert sich für das rätselhafte Enstehen und Verschwinden des Arbeitprozesses. Die Wahrnehmung der Arbeit ändert sich jenach distanz und perspektive zur Wand. Der Schatten der Betrachtenden fügt eine zusäzliche Schicht hinzu, welche Shadow Area eine subtile Interaktivität verleiht. Das Verspielte, Träumerische, Märchenhafte und Lyrische der Zeichnung beeindrucken und verführen ».
